Julie Chen Moonves, who was one the original hosts and moderators on The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winner talk show), returned in August for the 22nd episode. The real love of her life was writing. In fact, she was awarded an Emmy. Hosting an outstanding entertainment talk show won her a second Emmy. From 2002 until 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. In the past, she served as CBS Morning News anchor and the host on The Early Show. The anchor was escorted to Cairo in the aftermath of 9/11, and she conducted an intense and thrilling discussion with the father who was the principal terrorist who took over the world. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers including the former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and queen Rania of Jordan and former defense secretary William Cohen, and celebrities such as Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves has also worked with CBS's New York City station WCBS as a reporter, anchor and producer (1997-1999). Prior to joining CBS News at the beginning of 1995 Chen Moonves had been an anchor and reporter for WDTN TV Dayton. Before joining CBS News Chen Moonves was a reporter at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). In addition, she was a reporter for ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. This was her first broadcasting job as a Desk Assistant on ABC News' late-night show Nightline With Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains among the journalists she admires. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel in the production of the award-winning Columbia du-Pont documentary Anatomy of a Riot which focussed on events surrounding the Los Angeles riots of '92.
